Our roots: a family business with a human mindset
Our story goes back to 1995, when founder Marie-Claire Dewilde opened a property office in Leuven. Not an obvious choice at the time, but her determination and strong market knowledge put Immo Jan Stas on the map as a property specialist with a human touch.
Today her sons, Ludovic and Vincent Heymans, carry that on with great passion. The family culture is still very much alive: our team is the beating heart of the office. We go the extra mile for each other and for our clients.

Our name: the story behind Jan Stas
Jean-Servais Stas (1813-1891) was one of the most important scientists of his time. A specialist in analytical chemistry, he gained international fame by determining atomic masses with unprecedented precision. He was an honorary doctor of the universities of Bonn and Leiden, a professor at the Royal Military Academy and president of the Royal Academy of Sciences.
In his honour, Schoonzichtstraat in Leuven was renamed Jan Stasstraat in 1886. Because our founder opened her first office in Jan Stas's house, she named the agency after the professor. A great name we carry with pride.
